Tankoa Yachts | About Classic Principles Of Contemporary Design
Tankoa has launched M/Y Solo at the Monaco Yacht Show 2018. Rethinking the exterior lines of Suerte (another mega yacht of Genoa-based shipyard), Francesco Paszkowski Design in cooperation with Margherita Casprini, has created a true yacht interior marvel.
The idea behind the Solo’s interior design was to create an exquisitely elegant atmosphere by designing a modern, minimalist but warm interior. The use of cold materials like marble and steel as well as contrasting them with the subdued tones of the soft furnishing and carpets create timelessness and enhance the sense of elegance. The balance that is essential in the overall design language is reflected in the finest yacht interior craftsmanship that remained focused on the smallest detail, creating "the big picture of human art".
Main woods: high gloss Macassar ebony, “fiammato grigio”, custom tinted grey oak and black oak.
Ceilings: made of brushed aluminium panels, tinted grey oak and nubuck.
Stones: Forest Black Antique marble from France, Cappuccino marble from Rajasthan, Striato Elegante Honed marble from India, and Pure White Onyx from Mexico.
Stairwell flooring: of white Onyx Cristallino while the walls are made of destressed oak sourced from a 300-year-old farm in Norway.
Hammam marble: Calacatta from Tuscany.
The sauna wood: sourced from a medieval castle in Finland.
B.E.A.C.H CLUB - Best Escape Anyone Can Have
The yacht interiors radiate a contrast with their minimalist but cozy modernity. The fact that the external and the internal design language remains surprisingly harmonious (the Owner’s desire was to create a strong contrast between interior and exterior), is a true testimony for the masterful craftsmanship of Francesco Paszkowski Design.
In her six cabins M/Y Solo can accommodate twelve guests. The hairdressing/massage room, an amazing beach club, a glass-walled gym with its own terrace, spa and a swimming pool are just some of the features to provide all the necessary comforts for the Owner as well as for charter guests. For the ultimate charter experience Francesco Paszkowski underlines that this design: “required continuity between the various social spaces, a precise but flexible division according to use, good communication between the exterior and interior, and the rigorous use of architectural principles”.
The Beach Club, a key feature on board SOLO, is a fabulous place of relaxation, rest and tranquility. It's equipped with sofas, bar, TV, bathroom and an oversized glass-walled gym (created by Technogym) with fold-out terrace that is also directly linked to the spa zone. The latter comes with sauna, also fitted with its own fold-out terrace, hammam and 5°C Celsius chilled water shower.
MASTER SUITE - Make Your Rest Artful
The master suite has separate terraces and a Bisazza mosaic-tiled, glass-walled jacuzzi. Full-height windows with 180° views enable admiring new horizons and drifting in endless sea of space while the two skylights further enhance the sense of freedom. The Owner's study (as well as the hair dressing/massage room) can be converted into additional cabins as they are both equipped with an en-suite bathroom.

Building a Design Legacy of Award-Winning Ilumen 28M Series by Dominator Yachts
Old ways will never open new doors. The commitment that unlocked the door of Imagination allowed the vision of Luca Catino, who is responsible for the interior design of Cadet V to stand out, to look different and to show that difference boldly, with no regrets. Built by Dominator Yachts, part of Ilumen 28M series - M/Y Cadet V is the custom-made and unique to the last detail masterpiece of Italian Design. This luxury yacht won the "Best Semi-custom Yacht of the Year" award at The World Yacht Trophies 2018 in Cannes.
Key features of Cadet V include three stylish en-suite large stateroom while the main deck offers elegant outside dining area shaded by flybridge hardtop.
Two beautiful artworks by Stefano Curto featuring thousands of stunning Swarovski crystals in the main salon and master cabin take pride of place in the refined yacht interior. The gorgeous suede by Foglizzo forms a part of a different colour scheme in each of the luxurious cabins. The bathrooms feature an accompanying handmade file rouge mosaic by Sicis, while the pearl grey parquet accentuated by darker ‘comento’ edging provides a soft palette for the blue agate recessed on the walls of the master cabin and lower deck lobby.
What makes this boat unique is, according to Luca Catino, the use of “primitive forms and their intersection that generates elements that we can cyclically find in every environment".
Passion for art is the supreme source of inspiration, followed by the taste of the Owner and the characteristics of a Nordic design like minimalistic, decluttered spaces, warm woods, cool blue and gray textiles. Modern and clean lines are to keep the entire space feeling cohesive and effortlessly elegant.
A lot of attention was given to the selection of materials of extreme richness and contrasts. Fine woods used to dress the yacht interiors, with tonalities of grey and blue oak reflect the lifestyle living shaped in the integrity with the natural environment.
Cadet V presents the combination of an advanced technology and master craftsmanship that produces one-off works of art, luxury and style. The ultra-modern design is completely unique to the industry. By mastering strong visual contrasts, screaming out the contemporary and masculine aesthetics, Luca Catino embraced the design as a way of life and art that can never be imitation.

M/Y Stella di Mare | Timeless Beauty Tells Her Design Story
Stella Di Mare is an outstanding full displacement explorer yacht with interior designed by world class interior architect Umberto Fossati - the Owner of Fossati Design Bureau. This exceptional yacht was presented at the Monaco Yacht Show 2018, being one of the smallest (39,67m), but most original custom yachts on display.
The Yacht Interior is inspired by Post-Modern movement of 70s. A wave of bold contrasts and new colors prevailed over the austere palettes of the Modern era. By taking inspiration from resources of history, redefining it and adapting for modern use, Fossati created an emotional content and transcendent design experience.
The primary materials include: warm walnut, cherry and black lacquered wood, brown and beige leather as well as brushed bronze that represent a classical elegance with a twist of contemporary touch. Salon on the main deck and its double “L” shape sofas merge the space with the dining table for 12/14 guests.
The contemporary floor standing globe in the upper deck is made by famous artisan globe makers Bellerby & Co, who also created a globe chart installed in the dining area. As a truly unique custom-made addition to the interior design based on Fossati’s project, the globes became a trademark of M/Y Stella di Mare.
When life gives you twists and turns, embark yourself on an Italian boat: a custom made wine cellar that can contain up to 800 bottles are tribute to the typical Italian lifestyle, brought to the greatest perfection, offering enjoyment and appreciation of life with the best cuisine and finest wines.
The Owner’s desire was to have a full custom interior for formal use without missing the functional necessities of the Explorer yacht. His intention was also to “create a connection between three generations of Family, by giving the possibility to leave a personal touch onboard starting from the first generation of 75 years old to the third one of 7 years old".
Stella di Mare (built by CBI Navi) and her post-modern interior design embraced a broader concept of timelessness than retro. Trends come and go. Style, in turn, evolves, endures and transcends generations.

The Best Yacht Interior Design As A Business Of Trust
They say it's not talent as an independent element to decide about the success of yacht interior design but talent in relationship with "design ideas as an expression of purpose". The success of M/Y Irisha was to define and develop a solution for universal design that would be understood and used for a better quality of life.
After winning the award for the Best Interior Design at the World Yacht Trophies 2018 in Cannes, M/Y Irisha presented her dynamic exterior lines and fabulous interior space at the Monaco Yacht Show held from 26 to 29 September 2018.
The excellent choice of colors and materials of this 51-metre fully custom motor yacht carry the touch of Harrison Eidsgaard. Irisha's interior is the essence of modern design and a well-conceived concept that will forge an emotional connection with charter guests, creating an environment that "fills purpose".
The award winning interior areas were designed to evoke a sense of tranquility and quiet elegance. This is further enhanced by the use of neutral tones, the application of soft but precisely designed light sources, the sensibly luxurious furniture and even the gloss and matte material covering the walls.
The interior spaces can be used for hosting formal events while can easily serve as the cozy hideaway to clear your mind. The winter garden on the aft deck is a perfect example of the multi-purpose nature of most interior spaces providing another "avenue" for Owners and guests to feel close to nature and connect with the energy of the Ocean. Once the separator glass wall is removed, the garden becomes a part of the main dining area with an extendable dining table, large enough for up to 22 guests.
In case some private time is required, the owner’s stateroom with its quiet and – thanks to the large windows – well lit study provides the perfect space. The hand-felted silk bedhead in the master cabin created by Claudy Jongstra - a famous Dutch artist and textile designer - evokes a sense of casual and discrete luxury.
Another striking design element is the staircase connecting all three decks. Realizing this staircase with its organic shapes provided another unique challenge to tackle but once DKT Artworks has done their magic the staircase became recognizable and awe-inspiring feature among yacht interior designers.
Combining the exceptional visual language of Harrison Eidsgaard with the work of "creative minds and disciplined eyes" of the superb team involved in the project, Heesen Yachts added to their new addition to the fleet a perfect balance between form and function, creating a multi-layered relationship between human life and its water environment onboard the vessel.
M/Y Irisha is currently available for charter with SuperYachtsMonaco.
