The Superyacht Trends Of The Future | The Works Of Art: The Scream of Freedom
You know you create a piece of art that comes to life when you can feel it is breathing, when it talks to you and starts raising questions. The team of designers from Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design redefine a relationship between art and superyachts by pushing the boundaries of unconventional design that expand as soon as we reach what we think is their edge.
Art Of Life
Enjoy Your Life Today: Yesterday Is Gone; Tomorrow Is Never Promised
Sander Sinot explains: “Sometimes one can forget that our life has a limited amount of time, so one can question, how do we use the hours we live? There is no answer other than to invest as much time as possible towards the quality of living. Freedom, love and quality time with family and friends is key. With our yacht concept Art of Life, we want to address this as yacht architects and designers.”
Art of Life is created for art-loving and explorer-minded owners with an emphasis on aesthetics and beauty, without compromising on functionality, space and technology. The striking exterior style, with its overhang at the stern and forward projecting bow, is reminiscent of a 16th century Dutch icon of shipbuilding. The schooner yacht ’Schoon’ means both ‘good looking’ and ‘clean’ in Dutch. This led to the term ‘schooner’ which stands for a fast, versatile and efficient hull.
The architectural setup aboard is intuitive with a clear functional layout and a smart logic flow in the interior. This, combined with state-of-the-art and fully integrated technology, makes Art of Life a unique concept of customized luxury.
The integrated architecture of the design offers the owner a haven of privacy and the sensorial stimuli for both inner peace and exploration of the beauty and richness of luxury travels. s
The exterior features are ideal for dining together, partying and enjoying the ever-changing seascape. All four decks are designed based on fitness for purpose, resulting in maximum comfort for the body and soul thanks to the large indoor pool, sauna, treatment, hair & beauty and massage areas as well as stern lounge, which boasts a 384-inch retractable cinema screen. This superyacht concept, with its pure and aesthetic interior that uses precious materials, rich detailing and superior yacht interior craftmanship, has the capacity to accommodate 12 guests and 35 crew members.
Holding The Key To Our Aesthetic, Intellectual, Cognitive And Spiritual Satisfaction
The base concept for the design has been the craving to create a balance between nature, luxury and innovation and pushing the boundaries of contemporary yacht design even further. Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design is well known for creating spectacular custom designs and surpassing the traditional boundaries faithfully reflecting their philosophy – make the impossible possible.
The design is based on elegant, straight, geometrical lines, while the connection with nature is created with the extensive use of transparent surfaces, the most luxurious natural materials, fine woods and textured stones. This choice reflects a sort of duality and harmony. Silk carpets, multiple woods in the wall panelling, fully customized furniture, tranquil lounge and extensive dining facilities create hospitable and luxurious settings.
The environment provided by the inner garden can be set to different moods and is fully customizable using different lighting conditions, mist dispensers and water features.
All the living spaces have been designed with the utmost care emanating intimacy and tranquility. The interplay of natural light spilling in through the vast glass surfaces and the artificial lighting provided by cleverly placed sources further enhances the sense of balance. The large windows on the two walls of the owner’s bedroom and the one of a kind upper deck observatory all emanate freedom and openness while the large sliding glass doors help the owner and the guests seclude themselves from the rush of everyday life.
Using fully customized furniture and accessories the inner spaces are functional while offering all the modern amenities every owner might expect. The spacious main lounge, the spa deck, the gym, and the sea-level swimming pool, not to mention the spectacular staircase from the main deck to the 900+ sqm panorama deck and the water-cooled two storey glass façades are all accessories to the climate controlled inner garden that is the heart of the design philosophy behind the dream that is Nature.
The straight and open sight lines that are so characteristic of all Sinot designs further enhance the connection between contemporary form equated with equilibrium in nature.
Balance between technology and nature, geometric and organic, openness and intimacy, beauty and functionality.

PROJECT MAIA: PHENOMENAL YACHT INTERIOR SPACE BY REYMOND LANGTON AND HEESEN YACHTS
The unique design solutions of Heesen Yachts are to meet the most demanding construction standards and to solve the most complex aesthetic challenges. Project Maia is the embodiment of this philosophy. She is a 50m steel-hulled, full displacement motor yacht below the 500GT threshold. Her bulbous bow and an easily driven fast displacement hull form are optimized to glide through the water with minimal vertical movement, yet designed using the latest developments in ship building engineering.
Reymond Langton Design was entrusted with the creation of interior spaces for Project Maia. The company has over a decade of experience in both interior and exterior design for super yachts. In their work they crave for glamorous and highly functional solutions. Whether the requirement is for simple and elegant or more avant-garde interiors, Reymond Langton surely delivers.
The Winner of the Boat International Design and Innovation Awards 2018 has created a warm and inviting space for Maia, using a simple colour palette. This luxury balance evokes the feeling of tranquility and gives a premium lifestyle experience, which is so deeply rooted in all Reymond Langton design aesthetics.
The contemporary Zen-like feel is achieved by combining simple lines with textured materials. They provide a subtle contrast to the yacht interior accessories. A sense of harmony in space “warms” interior design and keeps it at the highest visual standards.
During the daytime the interior areas receive a fair amount of natural light, yet in the evenings thoughtful indirect LED lighting provides a warm and inviting ambience with a soft overall glow while drawing the eye to key design features. The atmosphere has been additionally enhanced by using subtle hidden sources and bright spotlights emphasizing certain areas of the interior. All these little details make the design and provide further proof for Reymond Langton’s recognized excellence in yacht interior design.
The delivery is scheduled for later this year and remains one of the most anticipated events in yachting industry.
